The 4th Annual Family Life E-Seminar, “Grandparents Raising Grandchildren: New Opportunities for New Relationships,” website is now available to professionals.

The United States Department of Agriculture/Cooperative State Research, Education and Extension Services (USDA/CSREES), in partnership withThe Ohio State University, University of Wisconsin, Pennsylvania State University, Purdue University and the Children, Youth and Families Education and Research Network (CYFERnet) offered the 4th Annual Family Life E-Seminar, “Grandparents Raising Grandchildren: New Opportunities for New Relationships,”  and have now opened the website to professionals working with grandparents and other caregivers.

The 2005 Family Life E-seminar on Grandparents Raising Grandchildren website, http://hec.osu.edu/eseminars/grg offers professionals who work with caregivers the following information:

  • Most of the panelist papers and all of the handouts developed for the e-seminar;

  • The video clips that were shared during the e-seminar that illustrate the experiences of custodial grandparents and suggestions for program to support them;

  • The compiled discussion by topic and by session in PDF format so you can print and read;

  • A complete directory (sorted by state) of all the e-seminar participants – we hope this will help you connect to other professionals within and outside of your state who are doing programming in this area; and

  • Online resources that were shared during the e-seminar.
